What is your hometown?

  • Anahuac, T.X.

Where did you attend medical school?

  • Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

What other educational credentials do you have?

  • Bachelors in Biology

What are your particular clinical interests and why?

  • I have an interest in mental health, lifestyle medicine, and osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) as I aspire to offer a range of treatment options.

What inspired you to pursue a career in family medicine?

  • The need for Spanish-speaking physicians in my rural town and in healthcare, inspired me to pursue medicine. Spanish is my first language, I want to utilize it with any patients that feel more comfrotable speaking Spanish while continuing to improve my medical Spanish.

Why did you choose the Community Based Family Medicine Residency program?

  • It was essential for me to be in an environment that would allow me to gain practical experience in caring for a diverse population. The Community-Based Family Medicine Residency program will allow me to be part of an organization that emphasizes patient well-being and improves health outcomes within the community.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of medicine?

  • I enjoy working on embroidery and crocheting projects. I am doing an embroidery journal for this year. I also find joy in renovating living spaces; my most recent projects were my mom’s bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen, which turned out beautifully! Exploring new sights, uncovering cozy coffee spots, enjoying movies (especially Harry Potter!), and diving into a good book (I highly recommend “The Silent Patient”) are some of my favorite ways to spend my time.
