
Medical Students Rotation

Thank you for your interest in pursuing an elective rotation with the Community Based Family Medicine Residency Program!
We are only extending this opportunity to UIW School of Osteopathic Medicine’s ➚ 3rd and 4th year medical students, currently.
3rd Year Medical Students
Rotation for third-year medical students is traditionally six weeks in length and includes rotating with our residents under the supervision of one of our core faculty, Dr. Rex Sanathra D.O.
Our goal is to introduce you to all aspects of the Family Medicine specialty while closely working with you on:

History & physical examinations
-
Differential diagnosis
-
Treatment plans
-
Oral presentation skills
You will participate in resident didactic sessions, which are scheduled on Thursday afternoons from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. During which, you will be given a unique opportunity to present during one of these sessions.
You will work primarily in our continuity clinic, located at 1102 Barclay Ave, San Antonio, TX, 78207.
4th Year Medical Students
Rotation for fourth-year medical students is traditionally 4 weeks in length and includes rotating with our residents under the supervision of our core faculty and Associate Program Director, Dr. Ali Feili M.D., M.B.A.
Our goal is to introduce you to the all aspects of Family Medicine specialty and to help you foster any specific interests you may have in Family Medicine.
You will be participate in resident didactic sessions, which are scheduled on Thursday afternoons from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. You will be given a unique opportunity to present during one of these sessions.
You will be working primarily in our continuity clinic, located on 1102 Barclay St, San Antonio TX, 78207.
