What are your particular clinical interests and why?

• My primary clinical interests are chronic disease management and lifestyle medicine. I value the continuity of care that family medicine provides, as it enables me to support patients throughout their health journey while empowering them to make sustainable lifestyle modifications that promote long-term wellness.

What inspired you to pursue a career in family medicine?

• Family medicine inspires me because it provides the unique opportunity to care for patients throughout every stage of life, from infancy to old age. I find it especially rewarding to care for multiple generations of the same family, fostering trust, continuity, and meaningful relationships while becoming a lifelong partner in their healthcare.

Why did you choose the Community Based Family Medicine Residency program?

• I am drawn to this community-based family medicine program because of its commitment to serving underserved populations. During my clinical training, I have personally seen how limited access to healthcare can negatively affect patients and lead to preventable complications, reinforcing my desire to help reduce healthcare disparities. The program’s strong emphasis on community-based care, along with its highly motivated, supportive, and community-oriented faculty, convinced me that it is an excellent fit for my professional goals and values.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of medicine?

• Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three young children, which is my greatest source of joy. I love cooking and baking for my family and friends as a way to share warmth and connection through food. I also find relaxation in embroidery as a creative outlet that helps me unwind. In addition, I enjoy reading medical literature to stay intellectually engaged and organizing spaces, which helps me feel focused and grounded.
