Grand Prairie, TX.

Where did you attend medical school?

University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine – San Antonio, TX.

What other educational credentials do you have?

Bachelors in Biology – University of Dallas.

What are your particular clinical interests and why?

I am interested in preventative medicine. Proactive practices such as early disease detection, lifestyle modification, and vaccination education promote individual and public health and reduce the economic and social impact of preventable diseases.

What inspired you to pursue a career in family medicine?

I find myself drawn to the broad scope of practice that the field offers where I am able to come across a wide variety of medical conditions. I also love how I am able to develop long-term relationships with my patients all while taking a comprehensive and holistic approach to their healthcare.

Why did you choose the Community Based Family Medicine Residency program?

One of the reasons I chose this program stems from being able to provide care for underserved communities. I look forward to being an advocate for my patients both in the clinic and in the community. I am eager to collaborate with local organizations and outreach programs that aim to create a supportive environment that will promote overall patient health and wellness.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of medicine?

I enjoy cooking, exploring different cuisines and hunting for local hole-in-the-walls, reading, swimming, and yoga.
