What are your particular clinical interests and why?

• My clinical interests include preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and lifestyle medicine. I enjoy helping patients manage conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease because building long-term relationships allows me to make a meaningful impact on their overall health and quality of life.

What inspired you to pursue a career in family medicine?

• I chose Family Medicine because it offers the opportunity to care for patients throughout every stage of life while developing long-term, meaningful relationships with them and their families. I enjoy the diversity of the specialty—from preventive care and chronic disease management to acute illnesses and procedures. I am also passionate about healthcare policy and I appreciate the opportunity to advocate for patients while emphasizing education, prevention, and continuity of care.

Why did you choose the Community Based Family Medicine Residency program?

• I chose the Community Based Family Medicine Residency because of its strong commitment to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care and its emphasis on serving the local community. I was drawn to this FQHC because of its mission to helping the underserved population, the supportive learning environment, and the broad clinical training. I believe this program will prepare me to become a confident, compassionate, and well-rounded family physician while allowing me to care for a diverse patient population.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of medicine?

• Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling and exploring new cultures, trying different restaurants and cuisines, spending time with family and friends, and taking my Shih Tzu to the park. I also love checking out new coffee shops and exploring new trails!
