The Center for Healthcare Services (CHCS)
The Centers for Health Care Services (CHCS) provides behavioral medicine and healthcare services to improve the lives of individuals with mental health disorders, substance use challenges, and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Description
On this rotation you will train in the acute and recovery sections of the CHCS. The crisis care center is open 24/7 and is a walk-in mental health facility including a 16 bed observation unit. The residents will work with board-certified psychiatrists along with a knowledgeable team of licensed clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors and RNs and LVNs trained in mental health psychiatric care.
The residents will participate in medical and psychiatric diagnostic workups, pharmacological management and crisis follow-up for the patients at the Centers for Health Care Services.
