• Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine.

What are your particular clinical interests and why?

• Managing chronic and acute medical conditions. As a primary care physician, we are the “home base” in healthcare and have a major role in that.

What inspired you to pursue a career in family medicine?

• Family medicine allows me to care for patients of all ages with a wide range of medical concerns. I value the broad scope of practice and the constant variety in medical management, which ensures there is never a dull moment.

Why did you choose the Community Based Family Medicine Residency program?

• I chose CBFM for its warm, family-like atmosphere and its strong commitment to caring for underserved communities, many of whom have gone years without seeing a physician. My experience working with underserved patients in a rural setting as a medical student deeply resonated with this mission, making CBFM feel like the right place for me.

Please provide details of any previous research work you have undertaken:

• University of Michigan Pathology Department: Ward Laboratory- Investigated role of C5a in the inflammatory response for acute lung injuries and sepsis. Performed Cell culture, in vitro assays, Immunofluorescence, Western blots, ELISA

Please provide details of any Poster Presentations you have done in the past:

• Rapid Release of Extracellular Histones during Epithelial Cell Death – University of Michigan Annual Research Symposium.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of medicine?

• Building computers, some programming, history, languages. I also like cooking different cuisines, and finding new hole-in-the-wall restaurants to try.
