Medical Students Rotation
We appreciate your interest in undertaking an elective rotation with the Community Based Family Medicine Residency Program.
At present, this opportunity is exclusively available to 3rd and 4th year medical students from UIW School of Osteopathic Medicine.
The rotation for 3rd and 4th year medical students typically spans four weeks and involves working alongside our family medicine residents. This occurs under the supervision of our core faculty and Associate Program Director, Dr. Ali Feili.
During your rotation, You will participate in our didactic sessions set for every Thursday afternoon, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
At the beginning of your rotation, you’ll be assigned a medical topic, and during the final didactic session of your rotation, you’ll have a special opportunity to present your topic to both the residents and the faculty members.
3rd Year Medical Students
Our objective is to acquaint you with every facet of the Family Medicine specialty, in addition to collaborating closely with you on the following:

Conducting comprehensive history and physical examinations.

Formulating differential diagnoses.

Crafting treatment plans.
-
Enhancing oral presentation skills.
4th Year Medical Students
Our aim is to acquaint you with all facets of the Family Medicine specialty and support the development of any particular interests you may have in this field.
Additionally, we will closely collaborate with you on the following:

Conducting thorough history and physical examinations.

Formulating comprehensive differential diagnoses.

Crafting effective treatment plans.

Improving oral presentation skills.
