Where did you attend medical school?

University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine (UIWSOM) – San Antonio, Texas.

 

What other educational credentials do you have?

B.S. in Physiology – University of Arizona at Tucson.

 

What are your particular clinical interests and why?

I am interested in preventative medicine because I enjoy supporting patients with proactive care and providing guideline-based therapy. I am also interested in geriatric and palliative care because I want to serve that patient population and their family members through difficulties associated with chronic medical conditions.

 

Why did you choose Family Medicine?

I chose family medicine because I enjoy continuity of care and working with patients of all age groups. Family medicine gives me the opportunity to empathize with my patients and support them through life’s health challenges.

 

Why did you choose the Community Based Family Medicine Residency program?

I enjoy serving our underserved community. I love the culture of our program, my co-residents, and my attendings.

 

What are your hobbies and interests outside of medicine?

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching medical TV shows, and exploring nature trails.
